I love this poriyal- I tend to eat it with curd rice as I like to see the colour when mixed with curd!!
BTW,try adding a teaspoon of sambar powder the next time-it gives a very different taste to the poriyal :)

Hi .. this is KF from Malaysia .. we met at Moorpark's Underwood Farms. Well, I did not have some ingredients .. so I substituted the curry with Trader's Joe's Thai red curry sauce. I also cut the stems into short 1/5 inches. My greens were cut bigger so I could see the greens still. We are not vegetarians, so I used the same sauce for some chicken and had it side by side.

I have never cooked beets before, so I am glad you encouraged me .... mine had cubes of beets, short lengths of stalks and larger greens which is still visibly green.

Nice meeting you ... and great to see your blog. Will contact you for LA COUNTY FAIR field trip in early September.

Cheers,
KF
